Squirrel season to begin this weekend in Iowa


CHARITON, Iowa - Iowa's squirrel season opens is opening this weekend. Forest Wildlife Research Biologist Jim Coffey says he hopes to see more people out this fall.

Coffee says you are limited to hunting six squirrels, which can be fox or gray squirrels. So you can technically hold 12 squirrels for the hunting season. The squirrel hunting season begins tomorrow and ends January 31.
